মেলার আয়োজকরা জানান, এ প্রদর্শনীর মাধ্যমে বাংলাদেশের জনগণ ও উদ্যোক্তারা আসল থাই পণ্য ও সেবার সঙ্গে পরিচিত হতে পারবেন। আর দুই দেশের বাণিজ্যিক সম্পর্ক যাতে আরও বৃদ্ধি হয় এ লক্ষ্যেই এবারের মেলায় গুরুত্ব দেয়া হচ্ছে। তবে বাণিজ্য বৃদ্ধি না পেলেও থাইল্যান্ডে মেডিকেল ট্যুরিজম বৃদ্ধি পাচ্ছে। এর কারণ হচ্ছে থাইল্যান্ডে চিকিৎসা খরচ অনেক কম এবং নির্ভরযোগ্য।
মেলায় থাইল্যান্ডের বিভিন্ন প্রতিষ্ঠান তাদের পণ্য প্রদর্শন করছে। এছাড়াও যেসব বাংলাদেশি প্রতিষ্ঠান থাইল্যান্ডের পণ্য আমদানি করে তারাও অংশ নিয়েছে। এবারের মেলায় মোট ৭৭টি প্রতিষ্ঠান অংশ নিয়েছে। এরমধ্যে ৬০টি প্রতিষ্ঠান থাইল্যান্ডের এবং বাকি ১৭টি বাংলাদেশের।
