আজ আবারও বিক্ষোভ ও সড়ক অবরোধ করেছে পোশাক শ্রমিকরা। রাজধানীর গাবতলী টেকনিক্যাল মোড় এলাকায় কয়েকটি পোশাক কারখানার শ্রমিকরা রাস্তায় নেমে এসে বিক্ষোভ ও অবরোধ করেছে। নতুন মজুরি কাঠামোর বাস্তবায়নের দাবিতে গত কয়েকদিন থেকে আন্দোলন চলছে। এরই মধ্যে বেতন-ভাতার সমন্বয় ও এলাকায় একটি কারাখানায় দুই পোশাক শ্রমিককে মারধর করা হয়েছে অভিযোগ এনে আজ শনিবার সকাল সাড়ে ১০টার দিকে কয়েকটি পোশাক কারখানার শ্রমিক রাস্তায় নেমে আসে। এতে ওই রাস্তায় যান চলাচল বন্ধ হয়ে যায়।
মিরপুর-১৪ তে সকাল থেকেই সড়ক অবরোধ করে তারা। এদিকে খবর পাওয়া গেছে ঢাকা-টাঙ্গাইল মহাসড়কের আশুলিয়ার জামগড়া এলাকায়ও বিক্ষোভ অবরোধ চলছে। জানা গেছে, ওই এলাকার ৫টি গার্মেন্টস এর হাজার হাজার শ্রমিক সকালে রাস্তায় নেমে আসে। তারা সড়ক অবরোধ করে যান চলাচল বন্ধ করে দেয়।
শ্রমিকদের অভিযোগ, প্রত্যাশা অনুযায়ী বেতন পাননি তারা, নতুন বেতন কাঠামোয় কারও কারও ক্ষেত্রে বেতন আগের চেয়ে কমে গেছে। প্রাপ্য বেতনের দাবিতে কিছুদিন থেকে শ্রমিকরা আন্দলোনে রাস্তায় নেমে আসায় নতুন সরকার দ্রুত পদক্ষেপ নিয়ে শ্রম সচিব আফরোজা খানকে প্রধান করে একটি মজুরি কাঠামো পুনর্মূল্যায়নে কমিটি গঠন করেছে। কমিটি গত বৃহস্পতিবার প্রথম সভাও করেছে।
