আগামী ৩ জুন সোমবার অফিস খোলা থাকছে। ৩ জুন ছুটির মাধ্যমে ঈদে টানা ৯ দিনের ছুটি হচ্ছে না সরকারি চাকরিজীবীদের। নির্বাহী আদেশে ৩ জুন ছুটি দেয়ার বিষয়টি আলোচিত হলেও অবশেষে তা আর হচ্ছে না।
এবার ঈদের ছুটির আগে-পরে সাপ্তাহিক ছুটি, সাথে লাইলাতুল কদরের ছুটি, শুধু ৩ জুনই একটি কর্মদিবস। এদিন ছুটি হলে টানা ৯ দিনের ছুটি হতো এবারের ঈদে।
৩ জুন ছুটি থাকছে কিনা- জানতে চাইলে জনপ্রশাসন সচিব ফয়েজ আহম্মদ বলেন, ‘না, ছুটি থাকবে না। সরকার ৩ জুন ছুটি দেয়ার পক্ষে নয়।’
এর আগে ২০১৬ সালে ঈদুল ফিতরের সময় শবে কদর, সাপ্তাহিক ছুটির সঙ্গে ঈদুল ফিতরের ছুটি মিলিয়ে টানা ৯ দিনের ছুটির মধ্যে একদিন অফিস খোলা ছিল। ওই সময় প্রধানমন্ত্রীর নির্দেশে মাঝখানের একদিন ছুটি ঘোষণা করা হয়েছিল।
এবারও টানা ছুটি পেতে এমন সিদ্ধান্ত নেয়া হবে বলে গুঞ্জন ছিল। এর মধ্যেই গত সোমবার মন্ত্রিসভা বৈঠকের প্রেস ব্রিফিংয়ের সময় মন্ত্রিপরিষদ সচিব মোহাম্মদ শফিউল আলম ছুটির বিষয়ে কথা বলেন।
এবার রমজান মাস ২৯ দিনে হলে ঈদ হবে ৫ জুন বুধবার আর রমজান ৩০ দিনে শেষ হলে ঈদ হবে ৬ জুন বৃহস্পতিবার। ঈদ যেদিনই হোক এবার ঈদের ছুটি শুরু হবে ৪ জুন থেকে।
৫ জুন ঈদ হলে ছুটি থাকবে ৪, ৫ ও ৬ জুন অর্থাৎ মঙ্গল, বুধ ও বৃহস্পতিবার। এরপর শুক্র ও শনিবার (৭ ও ৮ জুন) দু’দিন সাপ্তাহিক ছুটি। ঈদের ছুটি শুরু হওয়ার আগে ২ জুন রোববার লাইলাতুল কদরের ছুটি। কদরের ছুটির আগে ৩১ মে ও ১ জুন (শুক্র ও শনিবার) দু’দিন সাপ্তাহিক ছুটি। ৩১ মে থেকে ৯ জুন পর্যন্ত ৯ দিনের মধ্যে শুরু ৩ জুন সোমবার অফিস খোলা।
