গ্রাহকদের দণ্ডিত করা নিয়ে প্রশ্ন করা হলে মোস্তাফা জব্বার বলেন, নম্বর পরিবর্তন না করে অন্য অপারেটরের সেবা নেয়ার সুযোগ আমাদের আছে। কাজেই যদি গ্রাহক মনে করেন, এটির কলরেট গ্রহণযোগ্য নয়, তবে সহজেই তারা অন্য নেটওয়ার্ক বেছে নিতে পারেন। এতে কোনো সমস্যা হওয়ার কথা নয়।
বর্তমানে যদি কোনো গ্রাহক একটি নেটওয়ার্ক ছাড়তে চান, তবে তাদের ৯০ দিন অপেক্ষা করতে হবে। কিন্তু একই গ্রাহক মাত্র ৩০ দিনের মাথায় গ্রামীণফোন ছাড়তে পারবেন।
তিনি বলেন, আধিপত্য বজায় রাখতে গ্রামীণফোনকে দেশজুড়ে বিজ্ঞাপন প্রচার না করতে বলা হয়েছে। এ ছাড়া নম্বর পরিবর্তন না করে অন্য অপারেটরে ব্যবহারের সেবা (এমএনপি) সুবিধার আওতায় গ্রামীণফোন ছাড়তে গ্রাহকদের সহজ করে দেয়া হয়েছে।
অপারেটরটির প্রতি আরও বিধিনিষেধ বসাবে বাংলাদেশ টেলিযোগাযোগ নিয়ন্ত্রণ কমিশন (বিটিআরসি)। সরকারের সঙ্গে আলাপের পরেই গ্রামীণফোনকে এসব বিধিনিষেধের মুখোমুখি হতে হবে।
