ঋণের সুদহার এক অঙ্কে নামিয়ে আনার বাস্তবায়ন তো হয়নি, বরং উল্টোটা হচ্ছে, কয়েকটি ছাড়া, বাকী ব্যাংকগুলো সুদের হার বাড়াচ্ছে বলে অভিযোগ করেছেন ফেডারেশন অব বাংলাদেশ চেম্বারস অব কমার্স অ্যান্ড ইন্ডাস্ট্রির (এফবিসিসিআই) সভাপতি মো. শফিউল ইসলাম মহিউদ্দীন।
গতকাল (১২ ফেব্রুয়ারি) ব্যবসায়ীদের শীর্ষ সংগঠন এফবিসিসিআই আয়োজিত কাউন্সিল অব চেম্বার প্রেসিডেন্টের এক আলোচনা সভায় এসব কথা বলেন তিনি।
এফবিসিসিআই সভাপতি বলেন, সব ব্যাংক মালিক ওয়াদা করেছিলেন যে তারা এক অঙ্ক সুদহারে ব্যাংক ঋণ দেবেন। অথচ কিছু ব্যাংক ছাড়া বাকিরা কথা রাখেননি। এটা নিয়ে আমরা বাংলাদেশ ব্যাংকের গর্ভনরের সঙ্গে বসবো। তিনি বলেন, সরকার ব্যবসা-বিনিয়োগের সমস্যা সমাধানের চেষ্টা করে যাচ্ছে। এ জন্য ব্যবসায়ীদের এখন দাবি হতে হবে সুনির্দিষ্ট।
তিনি বলেন, ‘দেশের জিডিপি প্রবৃদ্ধিতে ৭০ শতাংশ অবদান রাখে ব্যবসায়ীরা। অথচ ব্যবসায়ীরা যখন পণ্য নিয়ে চট্টগ্রাম বন্দরে যায় তখন একটি তালা লাগানো হয় কাভার্ড ভ্যানে। অস্থায়ী এ তালার দাম রাখা হয় ৬০০ টাকা, প্রতি ঘণ্টায় আলাদাভাবে আরো চার্জ দিতে হয়। এ ভোগান্তির শেষ হয়নি এখনো। আমরা এ নিয়ে বহুবার তৎকালীন অর্থমন্ত্রীর সঙ্গে কথা বলেছি, কিন্তু কোনো কাজ হয়নি।’

এনবিআর কর্মকর্তারা কারণে-অকারণে হয়রানি করে কাউন্সিল অব চেম্বার প্রেসিডেন্টদের এমন অভিযোগের জবাবে এফবিসিসিআইর সিনিয়র সহ-সভাপতি শেখ ফজলে ফাহিম বলেন, কোনো ব্যবসায়ী অকারণে হয়রানির শিকার হন এটা আমরা চাই না। নির্ধারিত কর বা ট্যাক্স দেওয়ার পরও কেনো হয়রানি হবে। বুধবার (১৩ ফেব্রুয়ারি) এনবিআরের সঙ্গে আমাদের আলোচনা আছে। সেখানে এসব সমস্যা নিয়ে কথা বলা হবে।
