পোশাক খাতে আগামী দুই বছরের জন্য ৫ শতাংশ প্রণোদনা দেয়ার দাবি জানিয়েছে তৈরি পোশাক মালিকদের সংগঠন বিজিএমইএ। পোশাক শিল্পের ‘সঙ্কট’ কাটাতে সরকারের এই খাতের প্রতিনিধিদের কাছে নগদ প্রণোদনা বাড়ানোসহ বেশ কিছু সুযোগ-সুবিধা চেয়ে আশ্বাস পেয়েছেন বিজিএমইএ নেতারা। একই সঙ্গে খাতটিকে ভ্যাট মুক্ত রাখার ও ব্যাংক ঋণের ক্ষেত্রে সুদের হারে সিঙ্গেল ডিজিট দ্রুত কার্যকরের দাবিও জানিয়েছে সংগঠনটি।
গত শনিবার (১৬ ফেব্রুয়ারি) রাজধানীর বিজিএমইএ ভবনে আয়োজিত এক সংবর্ধনা অনুষ্ঠানে বিজিএমইএ–এর পক্ষ থেকে এসব দাবি জানায় নেতারা। পোশাক খাতের একাদশ জাতীয় সংসদ নির্বাচনে জয়ী হয়ে আসা ব্যবসায়ী মন্ত্রী ও এমপিদের সংবর্ধনা দিতে এই অনুষ্ঠানের আয়োজন করা হয়। এবারের সংসদে ১৭ জনের বেশি পোশাক রফতানিকারক সংসদে প্রতিনিধিত্ব করছেন।
